“Be the Change you wish to see in the world.”
(Mahatma Gandhi)
Anja Dittmeier has founded kAleiDoscope Coaching & Counseling and assists her clients in German and English. She holds a master’s degree in education, psychology and theology and is specialized in interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships. She studies their underlying mechanisms and how the individual and cultural upbringing shapes the way we interact with our outside world.
She looks back at 29+ years of experience in the field of personal development.
Knowing the challenges that go along with mastering one’s professional and personal life as an expatriate abroad – including raising two third-culture kids (TCK) as well as leaving everything well known behind – Anja’s clients can benefit from her attachment-based and culturally sensitive coaching, counseling and therapeutic approach. Information on Anja Dittmeier’s comprehensive education.
I am a coach, counselor and therapist. Within this threefold profession, I am specialized in empowerment coaching, in relationship and couples counseling and in holistic and integrative psychotherapy.
I assist my clients in their personal growth and inner healing through a transformative and culturally sensitive coaching, counseling or psychotherapy process, implementing neuro-scientifically proven methods and approaches.
It is one of my main convictions that the way we grew up – even in a transgenerational sense – has a tremendous impact on how we perceive our personal and relational lives, our profession and how we are shaping our future.
It is therefore this conviction, that lies at the very foundation of my attachment-based and culturally sensitive approach to coaching, counseling and psychotherapy.
Methods and techniques which could be implemented in sessions are: Brainspotting and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), The Wholeness Work®, Ego State Therapy, meditation, breathing and mindfulness exercises, elements behavioral therapy, tapping, visualization as well as imagination exercises and techniques of resource activation. I also coach and counsel groups through presentations, workshops and private retreats.
Symbols and metaphors are very helpful for illustrating complex correlations. A playful aspect and a fluid interpretability lead to the creation of the company name kAleiDoscope.
When you look into a kaleidoscope, you look in at one end while the light enters it from the other. Due to the mirror reflections in the kaleidoscope’s interior, the light is redirected over and over again as soon as you move it even slightly from its initial position. For me, this represents a wonderful image and suitable metaphor for change and continuous development. It is also an insight into the way I operate. We can see how new realizations can help each of us to grow from the inside out to achieve a fulfilled and successful private and professional life.
